Now one of the fastest growing start ups in the USA, boasting 8 million users a month and a staggering $2 million sales a day, StockX is the first stock market platform for the sneaker and streetwear industry. Taking the sneaker resale market to new levels, buyers and sellers can place bid and ‘ask prices’ in real time putting a highly innovative spin on how the latest Air Max collaborations, Yeezy trainers and Supreme x Louis Vuitton accessories can be traded.
Last week StockX and its founder Josh Luber came to the UK capital to present a history of UK sneaker culture with Steve Bryden followed by a series of panels and live performances. StockX also announced their first European authentication centre will be in the UK’s capital, marking the start of their European expansion. The event also showcased some of the most expensive Nike Air Max sneakers and Yeezy styles among others on the resale market, as well as different subculture sections which included the likes of noughties Grime, 80s Casuals & 90s Rudeboys.
